Jordan Ice & Aerated Water Company (JICE) "Pepsi" was incorporated in Jordan on 2/4/1968, as a limited liability company. At that time, it was owned by individuals and acquired a franchise by PepsiCo International
for the production and packaging of soft drinks Pepsi, Miranda, and 7up.
The company was developed from a local company to a global company. This happened after the global company acquired full shares in the company in 1998, when it began to develop and expand its activities and transferred it from a carbonated soft drinks company to a comprehensive beverages company that produces soft drinks (Pepsi, Miranda, Seven Up, Mountain Dew, Shani), and Non-carbonated products such as (Lipton Ice Tea, Barrio non-alcoholic malt beverage and Frutz) in addition to the production of Aquafina water. all products have international specifications in quality and taste, where the latest international filtration systems are used in production and packaging.
In November of 2017, the Saudi Al-Qahtani Group entered into a strategic partnership with PepsiCo International, where it acquired 52% of the shares in JICE Company. This merge resulted in an increase of the investment by the shareholders ( PepsiCo and AL Qahtani ) to develop the company and strengthen its production capacity, its systems, and production lines. In addition to continuing to participate in consumer marketing programs and sponsoring national teams and sports in all its forms along with continuing its support for the local community whether through projects that aim to provide the country with resources such as financing the construction of dams to collect rainwater to reach a water balance and re-supply the water stock beyond the quantities consumed by the company in production, in addition to other community contributions such as support of associations and service institutions (Tkiyet Um Ali and other charitable societies) and working with strategic institutions and sponsorship, such as the Crown Prince Foundation, to support youth and future generations and other initiatives, In order to continue to form positive differences in society.
